I did a search on this but didn't see anything other than the acknowledgement that people were seeing this bug. Is this bug (I've beta v.41) close to being squashed? Pending that, is there a way to manually set that number back to something reasonable (like zero)? Just curious.

I don't think there's any way to reset it (without rebuilding the entire drive and reuploading everything), but jEmplode might have that problem fixed with the next release.

Let me also just take this opportunity to say, once again:

[rant]
Please, empeg guys, get rid of the `Plays:' display on the Track Info mode. It wastes space, is often incorrect (even without jEmplode, due to the numbers not being reset when a FID is reused), and is just annoying to look at. I don't care how many times a track has been played, definitely not every time it's played, and I'm pretty sure no one else does, either.

Well, I like it! I didn't know about the inaccuracies, but I like to know how often I've heard a tune. It is just pleasing to me, although I can't think of a good reason for it to be so.

-thanks for the update tho!

If you play the song it will wrap around to zero (65535 is a 2-byte number that's all ones, if you add one to it they all carry over and you end up with all zeros)

I haven't had a chance to look into why it's 65536 yet, but it's on my list for the next release. I do fix the problem with reusing numbers for deleted node (I clear out that data when you delete a node). Also, in the next release (actually with the current release if you're daring enough ) You may be able to use the advanced tag editor on the properties dialog and change the number there ... It may be that the 65536 is just a bug in how i write dynamic data back, though, in which case that wouldn't work.

I'll be taking a look at it soon ...

Cool! I looked at that today (while rewiring my power & ground lines - no more ground loop) and it worked as you say. I was afraid that it would stay at the 65K #, but knowing that it rolls over to zero makes me feel better. I'm psyched for the fix though!

Thanks.

I agree. I'm not saying they sould get rid of it entirely, but they should remove it from the Track Info mode. It just wastes too much space.
Adding it to the "Track details" screen (long info button press) would be better.
