Interested to hear from any Cambridge staffers with corrections or thoughts on this 5-minute video with Brian Cooley and Eliot van Buskirk, CNet Reviews' guy in digital audio.
Find link in box at lower right.

It was quite a good segment. A few factual errors but Eliot seemed to like the players a lot (we like to get his input early in projects so he should know what he's talking about).

The only major error seemed to be Brian's insistance that Karma is a thin client, which Eliot seemed to be trying hard to steer him away from! We haven't implemented that yet

Also the Karma battery life is 15hrs (MP3 128K mid volume). Oh, and I'd say the explanation of FLAC was just a *little* dumbed down

What did you think?

I could only listen to the video as my mdoem is less than 56k. Can anyone put it into a file format rather than streamed?

I agree with your assessment. The thin client stuff is why I wanted to hear your "corrections" -- people seem to extrapolate the ethernet port into being everything Internet client/server-related that they can dream or imagine....
