Alpine Launches In-Car Hard Disk Drive Player

Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. recently unveiled its HDA-5460 in-dash hard disk drive player, which features a 16 GB removable hard disk drive that enables users to take upwards of 3000 of their favorite MP3/WMA/WAV music files on the road with them.

The HDA-5460 is designed for in-dash installation, putting all the system controls in front of the user. The system can be easily integrated with any Alpine Ai-Net head unit or can function as a stand-alone playback system using an RCA output.

The tricky task of managing large music libraries is made much easier with Alpine's exclusive Quick Search, which enables people to search for tracks by genre, artist, album, song or playlist using a simple "paddle switch" on the front panel.

The HDA-5460 features a three-line text display and Alpine's Biolite technology, which produces brighter visuals to help punch through sun glare, as well as wider horizontal and vertical viewing angles for easier operation.
