Anyone eyeing this thing? Anyone already have it? If so, what are your impressions. I'm waiting until the lease on my truck is over, and I can BUY a car, so I don't have to return it with a screwed up dash.

Yeah, this BBS is actually a spinoff of the Empeg BBS (The Empeg Car and the Rio Car are the same thing more or less).

Most of the folks on this BBS so far are already Empeg Car owners.

It's a nice piece of kit, as they say.

Count me in as an owner. You'll never understand what you are missing until you have one in your sweaty little hands =]

It is a standard din size so you should be able to fit one with an adapter and if you keep the old stereo no screwing up of dash is needed. The amp location might need a bit more thought

It's better than a "nice piece of kit", it's changed my life. It's the only piece of technology I can constantly show off to people and have them be truly impressed. I'm thrilled to have it every day. Worth it at double the price. -Gary

Unlike the Rio Receiver, the Rio Car doesn't recognize existing MusicMatch playlists, does it?

Not yet, no. The next version of emplode (due soon) will hopefully recognise MM playlists.

Roger - not necessarily speaking for empeg

I have the empeg MK2 version for about a year now, there's nothing else like it.
