Interesting idea!

Was also interesting to read through this old thread again.

The kernel should be here:

http://www.digitalnetworksna.com/support/rio/downloads/mulltimedia/rio/receiver/receiver_v103_source.zip

But it appears to have gone all 404 on us.

I have the kernel tar here somewhere, not sure if I can distribute it though.

Actually looking through the tar, it is all just source and it must all be GPL'd right ? So if you can't find it elsewhere, let me know.

I also found this link (below), which also does a 404 T over A impression when clicking on any links (wont work with Mozilla-1.4, by the way.. had to use Konqueror).

http://www.digitalnetworksna.com/support/rio/product.asp?prodID=99

If you have the original kernel source, and subsequent patch for AUX-out volume control, then please send them to me or put them where they can be fetched by me. It's all GPL, so there are no worries on that stuff.

Ok, they are available here for a limited time:

http://dipsy.microsign.co.uk/rio/

The problem is, I can't remember what's what. One of those tgz files is the original unpatched kernel, probably linux-kernel-v1.03.tar.gz (but it could be clean-kernel-no-patches.tgz).

The patches are in the patches folder, sorry it is such a mess. Let me know when you have what you want.

Meaning the link that didn't work was the wrong link.
