Not sure if they're useful at 2 and 4 gig capacities (CompactFlash can get that big already, right?), but still, cool pic.

Amazing the way we keep trying to miniaturize this technology and increase capacity rather than trying to find a way to do proper high capacity, low cost, mass-rewritable solid-state memory.

Did you read the story about the 667MHz CPU with Arm core, linked from that page?

No, I didn't see that. Wow, a 667mhz empeg would be nice.

Oh, and I think that they *ARE* trying to do solid state high capacity, it's just they haven't done it yet, or at least not cheaply.

Did I read that right, does that processor really only use 0.5 watts of power when running at full speed ?

Looks like 2005, maybe 2006, will be the year of hard drive enabled cell phones. I wonder if they will swallow up other CE devices in the way they have swallowed up PDAs.

Yes, it's inevitable IMO. That's why Nokia should be a target of choice as a partner. That'd be one way to solve supply and distribution issues!

Yup. Nokia definitely need some advice regarding physical design at least! *cough* Original N-Gage
