I got mp3tofid working and now i've got my tree but it looks like the rwm and rom commands are only available on the serial console? this script from the mp3tofid README also does swapon -a before the rsync and swapoff -a afterwards. (I have telnet on the empeg) I can't find these commands on the mounted FS when booted normally - how can i manip the swap w/out those commands? mount doesn't show a swap mounted when the player is running that I can see, either. nothing in fstab

I'd like to figure out how to do this rsync safely from a normal bootup. I can remount drive[0,1] RW with -o remount, rw. what things need to be killed since the player is 'running' when its just plugged in? if i need to do that, and enable swap i think i could sync it this way.

any input is greatly appreciated
