mlord carpal tunnel Registered: 29/08/2000 Posts: 14477 Loc: Canada	A client of mine wants some OS/X drivers for their SATA/RAID card. I've done lots of FreeBSD stuff, but somehow I think Apple has a different driver framework. Anyone here know anything about it? Want to do it? Cheers

I doubt enough to give you any useful pointers, but I do know it is significantly different than FreeBSD's driver model. I briefly considered trying to port a PCMCIA WiFi driver from FreeBSD to OS X a couple years back and researched enough to know it wasn't going to be a trivial recompile (Apple pushes C++ rather than C for driver development for starters).
