Went out for dinner with some friends tonight. It was dark and raining hard, so fairly low visibility. I was driving in the leftmost lane of a divided road. After a slight left turn I failed to stay in my lane and went half way into a left turn lane. Wouldn't have been a big deal except there was a curb separating that left turn lane from the main road. I couldn't react at all and just drove over it.

Four people in the car, nobody got hurt. No visible damage to the car but nevertheless it's not happy at all - e.g. turning is almost impossible. I don't want to take a guess what's broken but it sounds like it can be serious.

Oh, the empeg is fine too. Can't say whether I'll have a car for the meet, though...

Yikes.

Borislav

Look, can everyone just stop driving their cars between now and the meet, ok? That way we might have some installed empegs to look at next week!

Rob

PS Hope it turns out not to be too expensive.

Only if you have jumper cables and another car close by.

Last monday I stopped my car at a red traffic-light. I listened to some new songs i uploaded to my empeg before. I had the volume at about -5 db so it was pretty loud.

And then suddenly I was pushed half a meter forward. I didn't hear anything exept the clear sound of the empeg as I was backended...

Fortunately it was not that bad. Just the bumper was scratched and nothing happend to my empeg. Today I got my car back from repair.

So another (small) accident for my list..

That stinks... At least I couldn't blame anybody else for my accident (except the curb - I most definitely shouldn't have jumped in my way).

Anyway, my car is fine again (took a while and $4400 in repairs!) It's actually nicer now - the steering used to be a bit stiff but they replaced the steering rack so it's much smoother now.
