Hijack v517 is now released.

The only new feature is a good one: failsafe power-off when in-car.

The idea is that when the ignition is turned off, the empeg is supposed to turn itself off shortly thereafter. But sometimes this does not happen, due to the player app having crashed, or a hard disk failure. The result can be a run-down car battery the next morning.

So Hijack v517 now implements its own failsafe timer for power-off. If the player software fails to issue the power-off command within five seconds of the normal timeout (from config.ini), then Hijack will issue the command itself.

Highly recommended for in-car use, and harmless for home/dock use.

Hijack v518 is now released.

This version fixes a silly coding error from v517, which was causing the empeg to poweroff too quickly in-car after ignition shutoff.

Do not use v517.. use v518 (or newer) instead!

Cheers
Mark

Thanks much!

The wife and I MUST pull the empegs before we get of our cars for the night. One battery was kill by the empeg running it down a few times.
