Fun! I like the bit around "bag #5" where some backtracking and reassembly happened. wink

Wait, that's available now? I remember when it was announced all over the web but I wasn't able to pre-order it yet. I can get one now?

Dammit, "Temporarily out of stock" now. Sucks that, when I first read about it, there was no way for me to get on any kind of notification list for when it became available. Now it's too late.

Not at your local Lego store - most are sold out, and it is out of stock online.

It is sold out everywhere I have tried.

You could pay exorbitant prices through Amazon resellers, but I decided to just hold off until they get back in stock (Lego Shop estimates 30 days).

I actually called my local Lego store, and if I'd known about this yesterday I might have been able to get one, but they sold out of them yesterday. Sigh.

I went down to my local Lego store on the morning of the 1st; got in just after they opened. At the time, they had about a dozen sets on display. I've no idea whether/how quickly they sold out.

Looks like it was a lot of fun...

The wine glass was a nice touch!

The leftovers seem appear as the wine disappears.

Looks like the Lego Shop has finally been able to keep them in stock. I ordered mine yesterday and it will be delivered Friday.

Yay!

I'm probably the last person on the planet to actually get one, though.

I even waited 24 hours to make sure they were staying in stock.

I guess production is supposed to be picking up, my local store said that shipments were going to resume in October. Maybe that just means they take longer to go out of stock as opposed to instantly.

My roommate ended up getting one from Ebay shortly after they came out. I forgot to post about it.

Our household had an Apollo 11 party a while back, where we assembled the model. The idea was to then take our print of the Apollo 11 flight plan and recreate the journey on a time-compressed scale. I don't recall how strictly we adhered to that part. Mostly it ended up being a lego party with friends, but fun was had. And the kit is pretty damn impressive. Did you know it had 1969 parts in the kit? So meta.

Those are candy cigarettes by the way.

I am seriously considering the €800 Millennium Falcon. I should not get it, because I am not sure where I'll put it, taxes killed me this year, I had to spend money on more responsible and serious stuff, € 800 is a lot, I've got shelves full of Lego Technic sets and Star Wars sets already, etc.

But I am not fooling anyone. I know I will. If you wish to provide reasons why I should in fact, please feel free and thank you in advance. Otherwise just please ignore me; you'd waste your time with me, I am not listening to you.

The best I can say about the Millennium Falcon is that it's absolutely eliminated the lust I used to have for the bucket-wheel excavator.

I will probably end up getting the Millennium Falcon also. Just about everything about it is ridiculous, including the price. I might need to move into a larger home to display it, though.

Maybe this will return that lust?
