Will there be a way for me to install a Distributed client on the box? They have a Linux ARM version.

Why, Seti@Home is now in full effect. I would love to have a lil' satelight spinning around on lcd and giving out me the current percentage.

Well a few things come to mind.
The clients suck.
They are no longer actually doing any work, just doing the same work over and over.
The stats suck
It would go slower then crap becuase you be using lots of swap and could possibly over heat the device.
Theres no way to buffer blocks of work
THe bandwidth requirements are large.

While on the other hand D.Net RC5 project doesn't have any of those problems.

Hmmmm, "pervasive computing" arrives ? Looking for alien signals or breaking crypto keys on a car stereo thats simultaneously entertaining us by playing The Offspring or some other modern beat combo ... I like it ! Whats next ? distributed.net clients for the Palm VII ?

Actually if an empeg unit running a, hypothetical, SETI@home client isolates a genuine alien signal I wonder how they'd write it up ?
