I know I will probably be flammed for asking this, but it is a valid question. Will this hardware run Windows CE? I know the processor will run Version 2.11, but will the rest of the hardware allow it? Just wondering how it will compare to autopc.

It runs Linux

I doubt it's capable of running CE

The empeg unit (does it have a name yet?) has a processor that can run WinCE- I've
got a reference board running Wince, so any muppet wanting to do this, who can
afford the dev kit, who wants piss-poor interrupt latency, who want to see some ropey
initialisation code, can, in theory, port Wince. You'd have to want to. (Me, I run
VXWorks, with an urge to run Linux for home stuff, so I'm open to most things).

No, it's totally capable of running CE. We're certainly not going to bother licencing and porting it though. As for other OSes, as long as you can bring the unit up from a bare environment (MMU off, etc) you can replace linux in the unit with whatever you want - it's stored in flash, so it's not that hard to do.
