I'm surprised that nobody's noticed this: If you move tracks between playlists, they vanish. Possibly completely.

If you can confirm that this happens in beta7, let me know -- it certainly does in the current internal build.

In the interim, don't do that.

The possibly completely comment has me wondering, where do they go?

Wow, I haven't moved a track in ages. I've only ever copied tracks.

Now I'm afraid to try it.

I'll try it in a couple of minutes. I've got a test folder already set up with duplicate tracks conainting bogus tag info - I need to make new ones anyway.

Yup, gone completely. Deletes track from database and deletes track from player. Poof, gone, no more.

This bring up another bug. You don't get a context menu popping up if you right-drag from the right pane to the left pane. It automatically attempts a move.

Maybe someone should issue a general warning? Ah, nevermind, I'll do it. :)

This is probably a very good reason for NEW owners to stick with 1.03 when loading up their players. Moving tracks is a common operation when first organising a player.

I confirm that. That is the bug I noticed and mentioned in another thread here few days ago, but I guess I was not very clear/did not identify precisely the problem.

Yes, this happened to me. It lost all but a couple of playlists that I dragged and dropped, about a gig's worth. When cutting and pasting (rather than drag 'n' drop), the tracks do seem appear in the destination playlist, then disappear at some point later. As far as I can tell the files are completely gone.

Look at this post for the workaround on the deleting instead of moving bug.
