An IRDa stack behind the IR sensor hooked into the menu operation of empeg would allow something like a Palm Pilot to control the empeg; then empeg Ltd. wouldn't have to offer a custom remote!

The empeg has both a consumer IR (for the remote) and an IrDA (SiR) transceiver. Not played much with it yet, but I think we'd still have to supply a remote - not everyone can be bothered to use a pilot as a simple remote :)
