During playback.
almost all the time in the first 1-2 seconds of a song, it stops for a brief second then keeps playing.
occasionally after a song ends, it will stop playing all together. It stays on but looks like the animation has frozen. You hit play again and it keeps going. These are just nitpicks. But would be something you guys may want to fix to make things perfect, cause its almost there.

This is strange: what bitrate, etc? I've never seen this happen on my unit.

As for the "after song end, it stops" - this is the empeg reaching the end of the playlist. The next release has a "loop playlist" flag which can be set on the playlist, meaning that it will automatically restart the playlist (re-randomised if necessary) when it finished.

Looks like the system stops at the last song of the playlist.
Then when you press Play again, it plays the last song again (stopping at the first 1-2 seconds), and repeating this..I am playing everything at 128bitrate

I have the same, ie. a replay attempt on the playlist after it has finished playing will result in the last track playing back, but the INFO displays the FIRST track of the playlist.

The workaround is a BACK followed by a PLAY, forcing the audio and INFO back into sync. Off by one bug, I think - the classic C error!!

It's not actually that simple, unfortunately.

I believe it's all fixed now ready for the next beta release though :-)

Do you plan to post beta releases on a regular basis
or as and when you are happy you have a stable release?

Will we get the same delay in these being posted to the
web site as the news letters? I would guess you want to
get the new releases out into the field and bugs found
as quickly as possible.

Regards

Paul

Yes. We intend to release as often as is practical - there's a tradeoff between the release overhead and spending the time on further development work however. The releases will be relatively stable (we hope :-).
