Okay, we just got this one in:

I am not satisfied with this particular problem always occurring when I change my password. I conclude that the root of problem have something to do with administrative privileges granted to a number of secretive users to disrupt my computer operations on a daily basis. Its seems very odd that this type of problem has happened frequently on three different computers that I have used. I getting the notions that my computer is being targeted for constant harassment . Basically, I feel that a stronger investigation needs to be conducted to alleviate this problem from happening anymore. For ten to twelve years, I have used the computer to help train other personnel within my unit. I very competent in using the proper procedures to perform my work task when using the computer. Its seem very peculiar that in past year or more that I have forgotten how to change a password, edit, or save a word document. Finally, I find it very strange that DOT vast resources cannot resolve this problem. If the goal of the unknown party is to make me feel inadequate or incompetent in performing my work, then unfortunately they are wasting their time and efforts.

And I work in the same building as this guy.

He's basically claiming that there's a conspiracy against him to make his computer fail to work properly.

You should tell him that it’s a known issue with the OS (almost true, no? ) and if he wishes to pursue this further he should contact the Microsoft helpdesk and explain the problem to them.

The scariest part, I think, is:
For ten to twelve years, I have used the computer to help train other personnel within my unit.
And I'm not sure if it's because he's actually training people, or if it's because he thinks he's been using the same one for a decade.

Perhaps he'd like his old computer back? If you'd like, I have an old 486 in my closet that I'd be happy to swap out for his current machine.

I've heard a lot of older people say things like "using the computer" when it'd be more natural to say "using computers", and I think it's often a sign that these people date back to the time when the company had a computer, and it clanked and whirred, and people were terrified of it, and went on earnest but incomprehensible internal training courses with titles such as "Doing Payroll -- Using The Computer".

Thank heaven he didn't take it a stage further and write a manual! Everybody is entitled to a piece of paranoia, I'm convinced that the whole of Nigeria is passing my email address up and down the continent, by word of mouth!

Doing Payroll -- Using The Computer

Ah, you're obviously older than I thought, this smacks of Joe Lyons' innovation, just a step forward from Enigma....
