empeg always restarts with Transient info

Since loading hijack 300 (was on a <250 version), whenever I start my car, or plug my empeg in at home, it always starts with the info set to transient. Before hijack 300, it started with 'track' which is what I like.

Do you have "restore DC visuals" set in hijack?

I would say this is a fix hijack has implemented for a slight bug in 2.0b13. This is correct behaviour.

As genixia says, check "restore DC visuals" in hijack.

This is a known "bug" from 2.0b11. Just switch to b13 and you won't have to deal with it anymore.

Yeah I think the old Hijack had a fix for that bug but the new Hijack doesn't, so just upgrade to beta 13.

I'm using b13 and hijack v300, and when i power down in now&next mode it goes back to transient, i noticed. i don't know if it's expected, and i'm not worried about it. i'm using now&next for the duration of building a "heavy rotation" and then it will be back to "line" mode.

Hijack may be your problem if you're running b13 and still having the transient mode come up on startup. In a previous thread (I couldn't find it, Sorry), it was mentioned that the transient on startup was a bug of 2.0b11. When I switched to 2.0b13 it went away, but I don't run Hijack on my players.

Well I'm on b13 and hijack 300 and now the problem is slightly different. When the player starts it comes up with info 'line'. Then a few seconds later a message appears saying 'info off'.

I've got hijack restore dc/visuals set to enabled, visuals off and info set to track (which is what I like).

Any ideas?

If you like Info:Track, then DISABLE the restore/dc visuals feature. Its purpose is to make Info:Track go away.
