Yes. Says so in gigantic letters at the top of his web page.

It's a pity that you don't receive an acknowledgement email by return. If your order email goes astray you'll be waiting all that time for nothing.

He's just a guy with some casting tools and an email account. Any time spent trying to set up an e-commerce server would be better spent casting more buttons.

Most email clients have the ability to set a "Let me know when this email has been read flag", which could be used to good effect here.

On regular internet emails? Didn't know there was a standard for return receipts on the internet.

RFC2298 - The header:
"Disposition-Notification-To: me@here"

will cause a compliant email client to offer to send a return receipt to me@here.

yea I am aware of that, which is why I waited 3 months before I queried it.

Of course some compliant clients have an option to turn off the notification, and there are a lot of non-compliant clients out there.

...true, but I believe that it would be in Brian's interest to send them back, although we don't know which client he uses.

Would it be that hard for him to set up an autoresponder? I know that's what we did initially.

I can't remember if Brian uses a button LED specific email address or whether it's his personal email address. A lot of ISPs allow you to set an auto-response now anyway, and if he's using a specific address, this might be the easiest thing to do...
