EMPEG ORDER CONFIRMATIONS

I'm so excited!!!!!

As of 6/28/00 at 8:39pm CST, I have received my order confirmation form EMPEG for my MK.II

I placed my order for a MK.II Green unit, with 12GB of storage! I know it is coming with a Blue face, but hey, I will deal with it till I get the green one!!!

Now the sleepless nights begin until the MK.II shows up! GOD, I CAN'T WAIT!

Good news, yours has just been shipped :)

Rob's been a bit busy with shipping, but the confirmation emails with tracking numbers will be going out in the next hour or so. Some went out today, a whole pile more are going out tomorrow :)

I was hoping to get them all out today, which is why I worked so late last night to prepare for shipping. Unfortunately the stock showed up a little later than expected, and only a small FedEx batch was actually shipped. The rest will ship tomorrow (erm, today!), worldwide.

Note to Mark 2 clients - if you didn't get a shipping confirmation email, your player hasn't shipped yet, but will do very soon.

Got my order confirmation yesterday, unfortuneatly it won't be dispatched until today, so it looks like I won't be playing with my 36G MK-II until Monday!!

Well done empeg for getting them out so prompt, especially to Rob for sweating over all those credit card debits! Must have been shear hell. :-)

Well guys, that means that we will have a review coming up within the next few hours! I should have that by 10:30AM CST! It is currently 7:19AM CST! Just over 3 hours away! God, is there anyone that is crazy as I am!

When players get held up they usually get stuck in the Fritz warehouse at Memphis. Unfortunately, in my mind Memphis has now become synonymous with US bureaucracy and I'll never be able to bring myself to visit there!

It does look like all those hours, and hours, and hours... on the phone with US Customs and FedEx last year have paid off though, as we manage to get almost all US consignments through without delay these days (he says, tempting fate)..

Yours has been delayed because Fritz took too long to clear it, and hopefully they'll get it to you today anyway.

Unfortunately I've found three other players that are held by customs for all the ridiculous old reasons that we haven't heard in a very long time. I guess I spoke too soon :-(

I've faxed the appropriate documentation to FedEx, but what it boils down to is that Customs have lost paperwork (in one case) or haven't a clue what an MP3 player is.

If any US clients are advised that they will have to pay duty, you should query this strongly - we have always shipped empegs on harmonized code 8471 5030 00 and it is zero rated for duty in the US.

As long as I can get it on Saturday I'll be more than happy :) I'm used to this, order radar detector, comes in on the monday after a long trip, order euro spec headlights, comes in the monday after a 600 mile trip at night, etc :)
