aw crap, empeg plays in car. wont power up on AC!

My empeg is exhibiting a new personality.
Luckily, It plays in the car, but at home, it won't power on at all.
Is it the adapter, or something on the board.

Of course, I got a ton of new tunes I wanted to sport this weekend, and I had to play the usual 4000+ songs. Woe is Me!

My first guess would be that your adapter went TU. From your question I gather you don't have a spare adapter.
Can you check it with a multimeter or something ?

Yep, I use the same adapters with all mine (1, 2, & 2a) and don't have any problems.
