Broken Handle

Damn it, the empeg was a little stuck in the sled tonight and i yanked on the handle a little too hard and snapped the damn thing in half!!!

Anybody know where if I can get a replacement??

Otherwise I dunno how im gonna get the thing in and out of the sled from now on... :-\

Please note that this problem usually indicates that you also have this potentially very serious problem, so also please remember to take care of that as well.

I don't have a handle anymore, and it really sucks, not to mention my player looks like crap now. Cosmetics aside, i really relied on carrying it safely with that handle.

Is there any way to source a new one?

If I'm not mistaken, 303 is working on producing new handles.
His initial idea was to make new handles that would go better with his AluFace's and Polface's than the original handle but I guess they could just as well be bought as spares.

Maybe you can PM him and ask him what the status is on the handles.

Or you could buy a spare off someone who purchased the new handle for their AnoFace already.

Your best bet is still probably support, in the short term. Either that or find someone who is very merciful, trusting and willing to trade you the handle from their spare unit to use on your production unit with the promise to replace it later... Good luck... <evil laughter>

Huh? Is there a new handle available from 303? He didn't say anything about it on the meet and it isn't mentioned at the site...

He said he was working on one and that it was in development. This was a while back. I do not think he has finished it yet.

Yup, that I was aware of. I read your post to say some people had already bought replacements...

i havent found a replacement , hence, i carry it under my armpit which is quite precarious.
