Re: Searching for a remote - please help - 29/07/2003 15:22

No translation is required to use the Kenwood KCA-R6A with the empeg. All you have to do is make sure it's not disabled in the "configure player" screen in emplode.

Have you tried locating/calling any local Kenwood retailers? One of them might have it in stock. That's what I did after my RC6A that came with my MkI went missing at a party (turned up two days later, someone - quite drunk - had thought "gee what a nifty little calculator" Never mind there was no display...) and paid apprx $20...

Halfords
They have them in Holland, not sure about Germany and they had this remote in stock, here, a couple of weeks back for £20ish, I'm not sure if it was sale stock, or regular.

FINALLY GOT ONE - 30/07/2003 11:31

Thanks for all your help, I finally got one.

In time of online-shopping i didn't think about visiting a local electronic dealer first.. today i've been there (at media markt - for the austrian and german friends ;-) and they sold me one - not directly out of stock but out of a complete car-hifi set for 26,-- euro.

cheers,
