Mlord..The reason I called you all that because I was offended by your comment about me being a noob..That is an insulting word and It is a subculture geek lingo that is often used by arrogant snoby computer nerds..I would even prefer newbie...I was informed about your profile...
I have my own profession and I know well enough about computers to build my own and build networks and webpages and enough linux to maintain my server,,etc..etc
just because I am not a linux programmer shouldn't give you the opportinity to make fun of me or anybody..I also travelled almost all europe and some contries in Asa..but I don't show that off..
I am a Doctor..I am sure you wouldn't know fraction of the things I know and trained in medically.. Maybe I am new to this forum because I spend most of my time helping other people and not worry about some mp3 player so much and waste my spare time to hang out here all the time and reply to other people's posts with arrogance and negativity especially when It wasn't directed to me ...like you and other couple of snobs
All I did was to ask this guy if he could build me a face plate for extra money...sometimes people can show effort when offered extra money..I am sure he would definately do it for me If I offered him $10.000 but since I am not that crazy ..I just offered him the reasonable double price..I could even paid him triple for his kindnes and effort if he did..
The reason I posted in this old thread is because, some one from my own original thread directed me here to be helpful..and ALL I did was to ask him a question..Not to any of you people..
If he wants to responde he will..but there is no need for comments or critism or negativity from any of you..My question wasn't directed to any of you..This is his thread remember ??

Let me ask you a quick question. In a hypothethical case, how does one go about asking the moderators to review a poster's attitude, without being 'snobby' about it?
I am asking you this as I am well aware that your knowledge of this board, as well as many other things, is much greater than mine.
Speaking of snobby, a very good friend of mine is a doctor, and HE says the snottest people HE knows are doctors.

Why there is so much negativity here ? I only had two threads and none of them was negative..Just because I happened to stand up to this self proclaimed empeg guru for his insult, all these attacks came in... These people think that they have the right to insult anybody yet they can't be questioned and judged for it...cause they have been a member of this forum longer...

when that person directed me to this thread I didn't first realize that this was an old thread....but yes I should have done that (PM) to avoid all this. My reaction was intense because three people helped escalating it to that point..and just like any one I don't like to be called names.. You call my reaction violent but what about you all ? One guy tells me to shut the hell up because I asked about the idea of making mpeg home stereo fully ... and told me 99 percent of people do not want that..Thats fine but what about that 1 percent may be interrested in my thread..Don't I have a right to ask question to that 1 percent ? the main thing I can't undestand is that.., when I see a thread and it doesn't interrest me or don't like the idea , I just move on and read someone elses idea or thread but I certainly wouln't mock that guy about how bad his idea is or call him names or any of that..You see some idea that you don't like , you just then move on... Now why don't you realize that rationally...Is it fair to tell someone to shut up or get a life just bacaused thay asked for something like that..Isn't that violent ? Apparently (see reference above), noob is normally an insult when applied to a gamer, specifically someone in one of the various virtual reality settings.

I didn't really intend it as such, as this BBS is not a MMPRPG. Rather, it was a gentle poke at a newb who was too busy spewing to even read the rather old bye-bye thread to which he was posting. In that context, there's no doubt of the noob status.

And events since then seem to be reinforcing the original accidental connotations.

I'm a little late doing this myself, but perhaps we should all just simply ignore the troll until it settles down some?

Oh, and just a side note...I AM one of the 1 percent who do not use the empeg in a car (at least at the moment). I did until about a year ago, and then, since I had an ultra fine, outstanding, superb, ML Home Dock at home and at the office, and on the infrequent drives around town, I really do just listen to am talk radio. I plan on using the home dock whereever I get my next job, if at all possible. There may come a time when I do use an empeg in a car again, but not in the immediate future.
Besides, I still gotta get my main player working....

And Mark, feel free to call me a noob or anything else. I still have a great time on the bbs, and have received much more than I have given. Oh yeah, both docks are working great now, and are fully functional. Let me know if you think I should post a picture of my 'retro' system.

I swear I have dealt with "yuppy" before in another forum not related to empeg. I think it was an MP3 car forum... talks down to EVERYONE... Same profession. Same attitude. Anyone using this BBS on any sort of regular basis had to get a major laugh when Mark was called a playstation geek who didn't know what he was doing... I chuckled nearly...
