Sony stalk tuner input

How well does the Sony stalk input on the official empeg tuner work ? Is there a long delay ?

If I used it I would be using a n adaptor to convert my Mini steering wheel controls to the sony then connecting to the empeg tuner.

I don't notice a delay when I use it here.
