As it says in the store, the amber plate is out of stock. There have been far more orders for it than the registration survey suggested would be the case.

It will be back in stock in a few weeks.

Question to new Antireflective faceplates - 04/10/2000 05:12

Sorry for asking again - But are there any news about the new antireflective coated faceplates? (I've been out of office for about 2 weeks and don't have enough time to read all the posts...)

They're in manufacture. Rumour has it they may be ready around the end of next week.

I've been driving around with one in the car today (it's actually rather sunny for a change) - seems to do the job, although if you're expecting miracles you'll be dissapointed. With a blue screen I haven't yet been unable to read the screen in direct sunlight, although it does wash out somewhat.

The display looks a little blurry compared with the uncoated screen, but that was also the case with the Mk.1 - if you haven't seen anything different you wouldn't notice. In fact, we could market this effect as hardware anti-aliasing

Will current Mk2 owners with the old display be contacted for the possibility to upgrade to antireflective display or will you just tell it in the BBS or put it into the shop?
I'm very interested in one so...
