I'm sure I've heard of at least two on this BBS, but can only think of one other right now: The author of the Volume Adjustment kernel, Richard Lovejoy. My apologies for not remembering who else is from down under.

...but can only think of one other right now...

Add PaulWay (Paul Wayper) and his brother muzza (Murray Wayper), although I think there is only one empeg between them. Maybe that's changed now?

I am pretty sure there is at least one more -- someone who posted about incredibly rough road conditions and wondering about shock protection -- but I can't remember who it was.

My empeg still hasn't been installed in the car yet... it mostly travels with me for music at work and home...

heya, I'm in Perth too. there are another couple of guys in Perth WA who havn't responded yet as well who i have seen on this BBS. One called Soul I think. they both have their MkIs up for sale in that section of the BBS. You can check out my empeg install at http://members.iinet.net.au/~ice1/empeg.html if you're interested. I'm in the northern suburbs but work in the city mostly so if you want to catchup and say "hi" mail me and we'll tee it up.

That was me i think. I'm in New Zealand where there is at least one other empeg in Wellington, as well as mine in Dunedin. Both installed in Subarus :)

Hi Peter

That would be great.

I am currently finishing off the install in my car.

The empeg has been in since august last year, but I have blown the front speakers.

So when the bank account looks more healthy I will replace those.

But in the meantime I am finishing off the sub box.

I am based south of the river but also work in the city.

Cheers

Jamie

There's two empegs between us, but unfortunately (for me) Murray owns them both. An original Mark I (Serial number 000063) and a Mark II. I put my name in the registry, but he had the money when my number came up.

I'm saving for a Mark II at the moment...

This reminds me once again of my age-old question:

Why don't people use the Registry on the developer's site?

I note that there are twelve empegs listed there as being in Australia, and three from Perth. There's no need to give any more detail than you want to, which should comfort the paranoid amongst us. And since both of my brother's empegs are still safely with him, I think this proves thieves are yet to try finding people to rob on the internet.

Register. It's good.
