Roxio countersues Gracenote, should be interesting - 21/06/2001 14:50

Yahoo has a few bits of info on the countersuit Roxio is filing against Gracenote. Should be interesting to see what happens from this, because basicially Roxio is saying Gracenote had no right to grab the CDDB like they did. I'm really hoping something good comes out of this, but knowing the speed of the legal system, everyone will have switched to freedb.

Oh well.

It continues to amaze me, millions are spent on agencies and orgranisations to ensure copyright laws are upheld but to date I know of no organisation to protect the end users in a similar fashion. And day after day we get scr*wed royally by yet another company with a money making scheme.

This imho is just one more example. It's sad.

Even more of a reason to use freedb instead.
