The Bose WavePC: the new empeg product? - 07/08/2001 21:17

Has anyone seen the new Bose WavePC? Although it's in a Bose case, and doesn't say sonic blue or empeg anywhere, I was wondering if this is actually an empeg-derived product. It has a lot of features in common with the rio receiver and even uses a similiar remote. Is this the mystery product that's been alluded to on this board? The link is here: http://wavepc.bose.com

hmmmmmm. I'm going to highly doubt that. We have a reasonably good idea what the "mystery product" is. It a server-type gizmo that will allow you to organize your music and will interface with other Rio products, like the reciever and the rio car. I think part of the reason that 2.0 car development was alway pushed behind the development of this product was that this needed to be completed first, so that 2.0 could be written to take advantage of this new product. Of course, i could be way off here, but I don't think so.

I don't think so. Not with connection to the PC via serial AND audio leads to the sound card!

We're not to blame for this one.

Are you suggesting for one minute we will "blame" you for the future product ? All I can see is "blame" for me *needing* to spend more money
