Got my spare....

And it only took 5 days..... With much wrangling via SB and digital river...

I miss the days of ordering striaght from empeg..... And having it the next day.

Next day? What took so long?

Everything I've bought (or had replaced) has been same day.

But then, I do live in Cambridge.

I *just now* ordered my spare. I ordered the 10 gb "out of stock" model. Which model did you get? What type of wrangling did you have to do?

I ordered the "out of stock" Rio remote a week ago...It'll be interesting to see which shows up first (if either do). The remote hasn't shipped as of yet.

Well, since I do live in TN, USA, I'll cut them a little slack...

I ordered my spare today too. Of course, since I live in Europe I can order from the Empeg store in Cambridge. I'm expecting it to arrive tomorrow, though I did not receive a shipment confirmation yet....

Took the opportunity of ordering a carrying bag and a tuner too. I had no use yet for the tuner, but you never know...

Ditto man, i got mine yesterday amid a bit of confusion on their website. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing.

I ordered the 10G model + Tuner Sat morning.... I've had to make four calls to the rio lines just to confirm that the order HAD been placed, and trying to determine IF it was actually going to ship. Plus, DR decided to try to charge my card three times, and the resulting hassle that ensued from that.

All in all, I'm almost GLAD that there will be no more RioCars.... Ordering from DR has been a cast iron bitch. As I said earlier, ordering from Empeg, I had ZERO trouble. The same can not be said for SB.

According to Rob, the Rio remotes ARE out of stock, but the players aren't... (or weren't)... I wouldn't worry much about the player making it.

The remote controls left Cambridge today, whereas the 10Gb players have been in a US location for months. My money would be on getting the player first.

Yep. The "Out of Stock" 10GB that I ordered Saturday (20 Oct) afternoon just arrived (noon 26 Oct). I am sooo glad that I have figured out how the eStore operates. Do not under any circumstances order anything that is in stock!
