Rio Car, Rio Home, Rio Receiver ??? - 17/12/2001 20:50
If the new Rio home unit can serve a Rio Reciever and it is built off of the Empeg design and uses very similar software...
Who is gonna copy the needed files off that unit to allow our Empeg/Rio car to serve a Rio Reciever?
Or will that now be a feature of 2.0 final? Come on Empeg guys.

If they did that, then what incentive would you have to buy an HSX-109?

Er, that'd be the entire player application. Which won't work if you move it onto a car player.
The reason that the car player doesn't support streaming to Rio Receivers is lack of memory. We demonstrated it at one of the owner's meets, but we're not prepared to give it official support.

I think one of those would be neat to have, but ain't spending $1500 on one. I would like a Rio Reciever however. Bringing my Empeg into the house is just as good at this point. Since that is where my entire music collection is.
Wonder why they forgot to include the Rio Car in the Rio line of supported products that this unit will interface with? I feel like we(empeg owners) are the step children of the SonicBlue family.

I would be happy with a final release of 2.0
