I believe Ghost won't work with the Empeg/Rio formatted drives. Please correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

hmmm... something gone wrong with the BBS here. This should have been a reply to the Ghosting Hard Drives thread.

AFAIK, It should. It is just a Linux standard file system hdd, isn't it? Or are there some partitions formatted with some other proprietary fs? If not, Ghost will work great, I believe.

There was an issue with ghost that it decided to change the drive geometry (or something) in the partition table; this resulted in a situation where the partitions of the ghosted disk didn't exactly match a freshly partitioned disk. It didn't affect linux, but when you upgraded the player, it repartitioned the disk and everything went pear-shaped.

You might be able to find the thread if you search - it was over a year ago, though. Ghost might have been fixed since.

Don't use ghost guys - I caused myself alot of headache's/many hours of extra work about two years ago by ghosting my original mk1.. (worked fine until I tried upgrading it.)
