Clone Tool - 11/01/2002 16:08

I'm trying to run the Emplode clone tool and no matter what I do the tool only recognizes one player. I have swapped cables and rebooted both the players and the PC. Emplode itself sees them both on USB with no problem. Any ideas? Both players are RioCar MarkIIa running release 2.beta 7

2.0b7 is a beta and has some known bugs. The one you just reported is already known about. If you wish to avoid bugs, please use version 1.03 of the software which is known to be stable.

Congratulations on your new toy, and don't forget to read the FAQ at www.riocar.org.

And by the way, if you want to report bugs in the beta, please put them in the Bug Reports forum rather than the General forum.

(Hmm, looks like I need to set up a macro or something.)

Thanks Tony,

Does 1.3 support the current Emplode (or vice versa)? Just cloning the damn thing is not worth it (theres only 10 cds in there) if i have to uninstall the whole thing.

What do you play for a guitar?

1.03 and 2.0 won't talk to each other. This counts in both directions (player<->PC) for both empegClone and emplode.

Only ten CD's?!

What do you play for a guitar?

I've got a couple of acoustics and an Aria Pro II electric from the 80's.

Re: Clone Tool - 11/01/2002 16:29

Its only 2 days old - I ordered a 30, then the 60s became available. Got the 30 Wednesday and the 60 today. So i'm going to sell the 30.,or return it, but I couldn't wait to play with it, so yesterday I put a few cds on it. Is there a factory reset to wipe out the 30 BTW?

I have a bunch of guitars - my favorite is a nice old strat...

You could apply the diskbuilder.upgrade file...

Wouldn't it be easier to just go into All Tracks in emplode and delete all the tracks then sync?

That was my first thought...

Re: Clone Tool - 12/01/2002 01:07

Probably. I don't recall what, if anything, else sort of dynamic data/settings that is stored on other partitions. If there is, the disk builder would nuke those too...
