You know what would be cool?

....if the empeg had an option to automagically shutdown at the end of a playlist. I like listening to it when I'm falling asleep, but I don't like leaving it on all night. Is there something like this in Hijack?

You could use Hijack's timer option to toggle standby. It'd still be powered on, but the music would stop.

If you enable the Hijack screen blanker, then this also enables the auto-shutdown feature. The screen blanker will fire once the playlist stops, and the auto shut-off feature kicks in 30 minutes after that. Tunable in config.ini with "standby_minutes=30".

Or what I do, is just use the "countdown timer". Quick and easy to set, either with the menu, or the '4' button on the RioRemote.

Just hold the down button when "Power Off" is selected on the player's front panel menu. It'll give you some options.
