User question to display/diode

In the upper right corner of the display is sometime a little box with a dot inside.
What does it mean?

In standby mode the IRdiode? (Dont know if it actually is the IR) light fade up and down.
Is it supposed to do that?

(List 142, S/N 00032, 4 gig blue)

It means the hard drive is running.
Or something like that.. =)

I quite like the standby light pulse.. =)

The icon shows a disk access. Hugo reckons this is coming on more frequently with this version of the system software than it will in the final one.

The pulse light in standby is normal; it's a neat little bit of "fluff" ;^)
