What size bolt thread on back of sled?

What size bolt thread on back of sled? - 19/02/2002 20:01

i'm talking about the Riocar, or MK2 sled, i plan to run a ground wire there, is it in metric or inches?

LOL... i was just gonna post this elsewhere... maybe in off topic... because i went to the hardware store today to find this exact bolt for my project box.

It's a metric m4. =]

Haha i went today too... to a Home Dept and it looks like a #6 or #8... but i think #8 is too big. i couldn't try them out as they were bagged. i tried to thread it through the bag though hehe.

It is metric. I can't get to mine now but as I recollect is 4.0 mm with a 1 mm thread pitch. I happened to have a nut laying around.

Shouldn't be too hard to find as it is a standard metric size.

OOps.................. that should be 0.6 mm thread pitch, sorry!

Hehe thanks alot, it's not hard to find out. Just didn't want to buy a bunch of wrong sized bolts or anything like that.

I'd be very surprised if it's M4 x 0.6. The ISO Metric Coarse series states M4 x 0.7 and ISO Metric Fine is M4 x 0.5. The most common is Coarse i.e. M4 x 0.7.
