Advice on selling Empeg - 10/04/2002 15:14

Hey all, I was just looking for some advice on selling my spare Empeg. I picked up a 20gig on Ebay for about $450 when the word was that SonicBlue was sold out in Jan, and considered myself lucky. Then I was of course able to pick one up for $299 when it turned out that there were more available. Now that they really are sold out, what are all of your opinions on me being able to recoup my purchase price? Should I hold on to it for a while, or do you think that I will never have much of a chance of getting this much?

I think I'll go throw a post up in the for sale forum and see if anyone likes the sound of it.

This isn't the MP3 player you're looking for. Move along.

Get someone on national tv to mention it and sell it for a few thousand.

Was anybody else watching the Texas/Oakland game tonight? Anyways one of the announcers mentioned to the other announcer (Tom Grieve, a former player) that his baseball card was on ebay and at $15 with about 2 hours left. Within about 15 minutes the number of bids jumped from 1 to over 50. By the end of the game (about 10 min ago) the card was at over $2000. It is now at $2125 with 1 min left. The card is probably only worth a few dollars. Proof that advertising works.
