Newbie-Help Upgrading Firmaware PLZ

Hi,
I am getting my empeg in a a week or two and I had some questions about the firmware. I see some good hacks and stuff out there, that add options that are better, like the one that adds out volumne....which auto adjusts volumne on mp3s....and others..what I would like to know when i get the player...is which firmware (s) do i point on?? in which order and why? to optimize the empeg and sound...

Chances are, before adding hacks and such, you will probably want to upgrade to version 2.0 Beta 11.
