In addition to which, those of us who didn't get a blue lens with our empegs can get one for free from David, since they were unavailable otherwise. Unless things have changed since the closeout.

Nope - nothing has changed in that regard. If there is anyone left who still has an uncoated blue screen, email me your postal address for a replacement free of charge.

Or, in fact, no blue screen at all, one would assume.

I've never had my empeg blue screen.

David, if I might quickly ask about the default empeg MKIIa lense coating. I read on the HDD upgrade FAQ that I couldn't lie my default lense face down because it would wreck the coating. Of course, before I read that, I replaced my default lense with a Darkstorm Dark Green and promptly wrapped the default lense in Steve's stickey paper wrapping. Did I wreck it? Is there any way to store a default MKIIa lense without messing up the coating? Thanks so much.

I didn't mean that the coating was that fragile. I was just trying to say be careful not to scratch it.

You can see the EMF coating on the lens pretty clearly just by looking at it. If, when you remove the sticky wrapping, none of it peels off, then you're fine.

Thanks Tony. For some reason, I had the sneaking suspicion that it was some kind of liquid or something. Haha, that's just me being nervous about hurting my empeg.

I was considering turning my delima into another money making scheme that I'll never have time or resources to carry out. But with Darkstorm EOLing his lenses, it's not worth it.
