80gb MK2a for sale (loc:Souhern California)

hey guys, i recently went on a empeg hunt on ebay, and won myself two more. i upgraded one to 80gb, b11 + hijack266 (using 2 40gb ibm travelstars), but otherwise untouched (all components plastic sealed still, and mounting bay never installed). offers thru PM would be good.

So you upgraded it and now you want to sell it? You voided the warranty in the process!!

Not only that, but you're not likely to recoup the costs of the HD upgrades. At the moment, the only driving factor in empeg pricing is supply & demand of the empeg itself. Sometimes you'll see a 20GB model sell for $50 more than a 30GB.

patience.. you don't know anyone's motive yet. let's not be so hasty to judge a specualtor

I think you'll find that an Empeg is an Empeg and that the amount of storage it has is secondary.
You would recoup more of your "investment" selling the 40gig drives separately IMO
