Emergency trip to Florida

I have to make an emergency trip to Florida the week of September 23-28, after the meet, due to a dying relative. I am pretty much tapped out of funds, I hate to admit, to pay for a hotel and do not feel safe enough to camp out by myself in parts unknown, so I was wondering if people on the board could help me out by putting me up for a night on the way down and back and a few nights while down there. I need to be in the Tampa area. Thankfully I can take the company van so the gas is paid for and I can eat pretty damn cheaply.

Good question. Somewhere south of Atlanta, that's about the half way point. I might try and make it in one day if I can but agter 10 hours of driving I tend to get tired.

Well, if I weren't so out of your way (a Virginia peninsula), I'd offer a place, but I don't think you'd want to do that

You're welcome to stay at my place in SC. I'm in Hartsville, which is just little ways from I-95 (near Florence). If you come down I-77 to I-40 through Raleigh to I-95 then down to FL from there it's right on the way. It's also not too far if you are taking I-77 to I-26 to I-95 (about an hour from there). I suppose it depends on what part of FL you are going to. Anyway, I'll be seeing you at the meet and we can discuss it then if you are interested.
