At the moment, I still have about 7GB left, so I am not desperate for the space. Yet. By the time they hit the market, though... They are saying a January timeframe, and I would guess February until they actually hit the retail channels.

How big of a drop in the price of 60GB drives can be expected?

I think we have actually seen that, when Toshiba started selling the 60s. You can get the 60s for around $220 now.

Where can you get them for $220? Pricewatch shows them at either $260 or $276. Was it via coupons (or Dell) etc?

I'm in the market for a new drive, since my 30Gb is finally full.

It was through Dell with coupons. I have not been to pricewatch recently, but on the last round of Dell sales, I picked up two drives to bring LabRat up to spec.

My MP3 drive is only 80gigs! I have trouble listening to all of that music (I have to drive 3 miles to/from work, so I don't spend too long in the car).

It is nice to have the empeg as a full music data backup should my usb external drive fail.

If you decide to sell your 60GB drives when the 80GB drives come out, let me know
