I have a Treo 300 on loan from my boss. I'm getting one myself.

This is the SprintPCS version of the Treo.

I want to use WirelessModem such that I can use it as a modem under Linux. The USB driver isn't "there yet" so I have a serial cable, but... after the CONNECT comes (I'm dialing #777) the Treo hangs hard and I have to use the reset switch.

Anyone else using WirelessModem?

Actually, it looks like the "debugging" option is what hangs it, after PPP is running.

So does that mean you got it working? I have tried to get that to work with my 180 and never had much luck. I can get it to call a regular phone number, but after the first ring it seems to hang up. I also had a problem that I could never figure out what phone number I needed to dial to connect to the ISP that comes as part of the Cingular service (I don't have the GPRS update installed yet). Anyway, just curious if that software actually works.

Yeah, it's working, but I had to set the speed between the laptop and the Treo to 57600 before "debug" worked. I didn't try something faster yet.

SprintPCS, I dial #777. See if there's a alt.cellular group for cingular and if someone knows what to dial?
