Anybody watching series 2 on BBC3? Last Sunday they read a trailer for the next programme, as a voice over, over the dialogue, destroying concentration - are BBC going downhill, or what? I've bunged in an e-mail to: "Serious complaints".

That's the second time today that I've used lousy English in a posting and haven't tried to think round it: Don't tell the Grammar Police!

The majority of the bbc's playout is under complete automation, no doubt a scheduling error on their compass system. Do you want me to see if there's anything the presentation engineering log?

It would be helpful to know whether it was a genuine error, it happened about a quarter of an hour in to the BBC3 transmission. Actually I watched the recording on SkyPlus, so I can't quite place thea actual time.

Serious complaints* have rejected my complaint, so if I know it's a genuine error I'll drop the subject.

*I always wondered about the serious crime squad, what happens if you're a respected criminal, carry out a perfectly good crime, and the SCS come round and turn their noses up: "Well that's not very serious laddy, give the station a ring, they might arrest you, if they've got time"- sorry, maybe it's just the way my mind works!

I was watching as well. The voice over was particularly loud as well.

I have an apology by e-mail from the BBC today, verifying that it was a mistake.

Not only was it loud but the content spoilt the rest of the episode. I only watched the first 5 mins of "Pure 24" (who the feck can watch 35m of idle chat and repeats about a 45m programme!?!) but they didn't apologise, which is strange for a supposedly live programme.
