This seems like something you could work with!

Why does this strike fear into my heart?

You just need a saddle and some stirrups and you'd never want a Lear jet again!

Three images spring to mind:

1) Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius
2) Slim Pickins riding the bomb down in Dr. Strangelove
3) Darwin Awards and a large solid object

Slim Pickins

Is that the "May the bird of paradise fly up your nose - may an elephant caress you with his toes", man?

A cow-orker sent it to me and the story of how the link came up. Someone was looking for an 18 lb thrust motor for his RC. Apparently the one he mentioned getting was about $3k, so someone said for nearly the same amount of money you can get a BIGGER engine!!!

I can neither confirm nor deny the story.

How does cow orking work? [/wiseass mode]

Ahh, the thoughts of the 'personal cruise missle home kit'...

Well, first you get your cow up on the ramp, then you decide on which calibre orking tool is required...

It's a little too big and pricey for me at the moment. I have a small house, and I already have two turbines not doing anything much yet, one of these, and one of these. I was offered one of these a while ago, which I thought might be fun in a car, but time, money, and sanity constraints won out.

Heh, I should have figured as much...

I think no. That sounds more like the Jimmy Dickens mentioned here

Not to be confused with Slim Pickens of Major "King" Kong and Taggart fame.

Aaha! An orifice joke!

Which caliber do your cow orkers require?

3) Darwin Awards and a large solid object

I liked the story about the guy who thought that he was the inspiration for that award. They made up Darwin fish for the back of cars, only instead of feet, the fish had wheels and a jet engine out the back.

I reckon Patrick should get it and then mod it to compete in the tractor pulling or build something to beat the jet powered MR2.

What would you put as the engine capacity for that thing? 30L propane? or the thrust?

What's with the stileproject.com stamp on the photos of the MR2? I thought they were the folks who videotaped & distributed a short film of a man killing, skinning, cooking & eating a kitten. You know, 'performance art'.

-Zeke

Actually, (having researched a bit more) stileproject.com (do NOT go there if you don't want to feel rather ill) is more of a compendium & dustbin of the extreme, offensive & bizarre things on the web than performance art. FWIW.
