Has anyone got an iPod for Windows??? - 30/09/2003 07:19
Having a complete nightmare with mine.
It said the file system was corrupt, so I tried to use the Restore tool to get it back to the factory settings, but that said "disk error - cannot write to disk"
Now its FUBAR'd
Any ideas?

Show me somewhere I can get one, and I will.
The iPod is SWMBO's

You'll probably need a time machine if you can't wait.
My 5GB Mac iPod that I flashed to FAT32 is a pain in the ass when it comes to pulling the firewire connection before "properly" disconnecting. It would usually cause the HD to get corrupted. However, I have always been able to reload and get it working again. Maybe your drive is dead.

I have a 10GB Mac version that I flashed to windows and back again. I fubar'd mine doing so and was able to find enough details at
http://www.ipodlounge.com to get it working it again. You might check there.
