Even though I'm Scottish, it was good to see a northern hemisphere side win it. They deserved to win it. It was a great game too.

My boss is in Syndey at the moment and turned down a pair of tickets before the semi-final. He went to the semi and then had to rush back to grab a pair off ebay! He paid AU$1700 for a pair in the end (£375 each), but they went right up during the week.
I suspect he is still drinking now!

Guy from my company was flown to the game by helicopter after signing a big contract with a sponsor a couple of days ago. Bastard.

OK, I'll admit I've been so busy after my vacation to NZed in October that I haven't been following it on Fox Sports World; if England won it all, what happened to the All Blacks?

Australia beat them 22-10 to make it to the final. The All Blacks then beat France in the 3rd place play-off, by 40-13.

I have to admit I was one of the nay-sayers who thought that Cilve Woodward's side was just too old to endure the whole tourney. And indeed Samoa did give them a good scare during the pool games (my favorite match of the pools.) But the play of Wilko and the best pack in the world, IMHO, prevailed.
Well Done!
