Um, or you could click on the link for UBBCode in your posts that appears in the upper right of the 'Reply to' page.

In addition, that initial link isn't correct documentation for this board:

[b] - bold text - yup
- italic text - yup
- underlined text - nope
[strike] - [strike]strikethrough[/strike] - nope
[sub] - [sub]subtext[/sub] - nope
[sup] - [sup]supertext[/sup] - nope
-
indents your text
- nope
- Google - yup
[img] - - yup ([image] also works)
- - nope
[img] - - nope

Yes i did look at that page. For texted color, faces and such it is fine but the examples for placing text over links and using images is not complete. At least not complete enough for me, a non computer professional professional. I didn't know how to put text over a link or insert an image after reading it.

This is definitly the proper thing to do, since this board has a few tags that are not implemented on any other board, because I added them myself.

Which ones, if you don't mind me asking?

Also, Bitt, how did you get it to show the code like that rather than implement it?

Original post deleted. It's pretty clear that those of you that already know how to use UBB completely did not see its merit. As one of those that did not understand how to use text over links or how to add an image and did not find the UBB help screen on this board to be completey helpful in that regard I found the link very helpful. It taught me how to do the two things I didn't know how to do and really wanted most.

Mostly the [q] ones, I think.

If you type [q], the BBS sees the openand close italics with nothing in them and misses the surrounding brackets. You wouldn't believe what it took to print that out, though.

Out of curiosity, what did the help here not make clear?

Bitt;

An Example of correct syntax is needed.

[image]url[/image]

This by itself is not enough. An example is required.

The same goes for the example for how to use a "title".

Thats all. As the saying goes, "You can show me easier than you can tell me". Thats all I was trying to do.

I wasn't implying that you should delete it. I was just pointing out that it doesn't accurately describe the tags used by this BBS.

As Bitt already said the [q ] tags, and also the tags here accept .png images as well. Newer UBB boards probably accept .png as well.

Lastly the [blue ] tags are more empeg blue instead of a darker blue that dosen't mix well with the default purple.
