A fun present - 14/01/2004 22:04

Hi.

Well, my delayed christmas present from my father finally turned up over the weekend, and I can recommend it! Despite the horrible weather over the last few days, I managed to try it a couple of times and the results are quite fun. (you can get an idea of the weather recently by reflecting on the fact that the lake in the video is new )

Okay, that's definitely cool!

Once when I was in SF, I visited the bluffy beach area south of town (forgot the name, but it's well known and a former military hangout now popular with hang-gliders -- the full size variety), and sat mesmerized for an hour or so watching artificial seagulls cavorting with the feathered ones.. No means of propulsion, no visible control surfaces -- looked just like oversized boomarangs, but they were in fact really cool RC toys..

Cheers

Fort Funston. They also fly a lot at Cesar Chavez Park in Berkeley and even on the cliffs in the Marin Headlands. Someday i'll have time to get into that hobby...

How long before the stereo cameras are attached?

And forgive me if the video you linked answers that question... I can't get the video to load.
