Linux Account Logging?

Linux Account Logging? - 25/02/2004 06:54

I'm trying to configure a RedHat 9 system to log some account information. Basically, I need it to log EVERY login, not just unsuccessful or root logins. All the info (manpages and web sites) I've seen on syslog.conf was geared toward unsuccessful or root login attempts.

I would also like to log all the times the CDROM is accessed - such as username, time, and whether it was reading from the CD or burning a disk.

Does anybody have a good place to start for all this?

Thanks
- Tim

Edit: Figures, I just got it to log all logins. Still trying the device logging though.
